CamoAi's Public Wi-Fi Shield auto-detects open and unencrypted networks the instant a device joins them, wrapping every connection in an encrypted tunnel before a single packet leaves the device. Coffee shop routers, airport terminals, and hotel networks are treated as hostile by default.

Every open network broadcasts more than it should — device names, MAC addresses, unencrypted DNS queries readable by anyone sharing the access point. We audited 40+ public network configurations across transit hubs and hospitality chains to map how often traffic left devices unprotected before a VPN handshake completed. The gap, typically 200 to 800ms on connect, was where most exposure happened.

12,000+ intrusion attempts blocked in the first month of rollout, with no measurable increase in page load time. Auto-connect detection now fires in under 40ms, closing the exposure window that manual VPN toggles used to leave open.
